Mr. Cousins: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if the contracts for the production of the multi-role armoured vehicle have been signed; what the size of the contract proposed is; and who the partners to the purchase are. [95864] Mr. Spellar: We expect the contract for the development of the multi-role armoured vehicle to be signed soon. To protect third party commercial confidences, I am withholding information relating to the likely value of the contract under Exemption 13 of the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information until the contract is signed. Our partner in this programme is Germany and we hope that the Netherlands will join as soon as practicable after contract signature.
