Question: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, if he will list the procedural changes introduced by his Department and its agencies following the Government's signing of the Aarhus Convention on Access to Environmental Information. - Inc ref to 335 c519-20W, 21 July 1999.

Answer: Mr. Chaytor: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he will list the procedural changes introduced by his Department and its agencies following the Government's signing of the Aarhus Convention on Access to Environmental Information. [96719] Mr. Mullin: I refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to him on 21 July 1999, Official Report, columns 519-20. The Government continue to take account of the Convention. For example, all Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations and the forthcoming Pollution Prevention Control Regulations are being drafted to implement parts of the Convention.
