Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many United Kingdom servicemen and servicewomen have served or been based in Sierra Leone since the beginning of the summer adjournment; and to which military units (a) they belong and (b) they were attached. - Includes figures.

Answer: Mr. Mackinlay: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many United Kingdom service men and service women have served or been based in Sierra Leone since the beginning of the summer Adjournment; and to which military units (a) they belong and (b) they were attached. [94617] Mr. Spellar: Forty eight UK military personnel have deployed to Sierra Leone since 28 July 1999, of which 27 remain.
