Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, what representations he has had in relation to the impact of the climate change levy on (a) the steel industry, (b) aluminium smelting, (c) intensive energy use farming and (d) the sector of the tourism industry which is dependent on LPG for energy in Wales; and if he will make a statement.

Answer: Mr. Evans: To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what representations he has had in relation to the impact of the Climate Change Levy on (a) the steel industry, (b) aluminium smelting, (c) intensive energy use farming and (d) the sector of the tourism industry which is dependent on LPG for energy in Wales; and if he will make a statement. [93611] Mr. Hain: The Climate Change Levy is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer. However, representations have been received from individual companies in the steel and aluminium smelting industries and their representative bodies. We have made the Chancellor aware of the concerns expressed.
