- To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, when the Government proposes to make an order in council to place the former functions of the Office of Public Service within the remit of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration and the Code of Practice on Open Government.

Mr. Shepherd: To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office when the Government propose to make an order in council to place the former functions of the Office of Public Service within the remit of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration and the Code of Practice on Open Government. [92645] Mr. Kilfoyle: An order-in-council restoring the Parliamentary Ombudsman's jurisdiction over the part of the Cabinet Office whose functions were formerly carried out by the Office of Public Service was approved at Her Majesty's Privy Council Meeting on 21 July. The Order, which will also bring that part of the Cabinet Office within the remit of the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information, will be laid before the Parliamentary Ombudsman.
