Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment, if he will list the local education authorities which failed to meet the statutory deadlines (a) for notifying their fair-funding budget shares to schools and (b) for supplying to him details of their fair-funding schemes for 1999-2000, stating in each case the date by which the information was supplied. - Includes fact that information on the notification of budget shares to schools is not collected centrally.

Answer: Mr. Laurence Robertson: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment if he will list the local education authorities which failed to meet the statutory deadlines (a) for notifying their fair-funding budget shares to schools and (b) for supplying to him details of their fair-funding schemes for 1999-2000, stating in each case the date by which the information was supplied. [89700] Ms Estelle Morris: Information on the notification of budget shares to schools is not collected centrally. All authorities' schemes for the financing of schools made under section 48 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 were approved by 31 March 1999.
