Answer: Mr. Tony Lloyd: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what recent representations he has received concerning the licensing of landlords; and if he will make a statement. [138960] Mr. Raynsford: Two hundred and twenty responses to the consultation on the Housing Green Paper commented on our proposals for the selective local licensing of private landlords in areas of low housing demand. A further fifteen separate representations have been made in the past six months. We will make a statement shortly on how we propose to take forward all the Green Paper proposals following consultation.
