Mr. Hoyle: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what the cost has been to the Scout movement as a result of charges for police checks on those wishing to work with children. [143793] Mr. Charles Clarke: We are currently refining our estimates of the likely cost of operating the Criminal Records Bureau, and thus the cost of carrying out checks. Information as to charges will be announced as soon as possible.
