[142986] Mr. Charles Clarke: [holding answer 15 December, 2000]: The decision to close police facilities is an operational matter for the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis. I understand from the Commissioner that the following police stations have been closed: 1997 Chadwell Heath Ham Hendon New Malden Nine Elms Tottenham Court Road West Hendon 1998 Brockley Earlsfield Northwood Winchmore Hill Worcester Park 1999 Arbour Square Barnes Biggin Hill Camberwell Chislehurst Collier Row Highgate Holborn Lee Road Muswell Hill St. Ann's Road Tower Bridge Westcombe Park 2000 Brentford Edgware Erith St. Mary's Cray Pinner Wealdstone Welling.
