- To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, what plans he has to encourage the development of a tramway system in the Greater London area.

Mr. Cox: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what plans he has to encourage the development of a tramway system in the Greater London area. [131161] Mr. Hill: This is a matter for the Mayor of London. However, as the Government's 10 year plan for transport indicates, the Government will provide resources which could deliver at least two new tram/guided bus schemes in London.
