Dr. Julian Lewis: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what are the annual running costs of HMS Fearless and HMS Intrepid. [121702] Mr. Spellar: The average annual running costs for HMS Fearless and HMS Intrepid (in her present standby role) are approximately £24.66 million and £2.61 million respectively. This includes repairs and maintenance, manpower, fuel and other costs (such as port and harbour dues) where applicable.
