To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment, what is his estimate of the cost of the human resource audit referred to in Chapter 6 of the paper, Connexions; when he expects to (a) commence and (b) complete the audit of the human resource implications of existing and additional advice and support services provided by his Department and other agencies, referred to in Chapter 6 of the paper, Connexions.

Mr. Clappison: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment (1) what is his estimate of the cost of the human resource audit referred to in Chapter 6 of the paper, ConneXions; [119277] (2) when he expects to (a) commence and (b) complete the audit of the human resource implications of existing and additional advice and support services provided by his Department and other agencies, referred to in Chapter 6 of the paper, ConneXions. [119276] Mr. Wicks: Following the publication of the ConneXions document, officials from a number of Government Departments are currently undertaking an audit of the human resource implications of a range of new and existing advice and support services for young people. This study will inform the ConneXions Inter-Departmental Ministerial Group's strategy for implementing the Service and the Year 2000 Spending Review. The estimated cost of consulting with external partners, including the cost of a specialist consultant, is £15,500.
