Mr. Ieuan Wyn Jones: To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many lawyers are employed by his Department; and how many were employed in 1995. [117811] Ms Stuart: The Department employs no lawyers. Legal services are supplied to the Department by the Department of Social Security through a Service Level Agreement. The number of lawyers employed by the Department of Social Security are set out in the answer of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Security on 10 April 2000, Official Report, column 25W.
