Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what was the planned cost over what period of time of the upgrade programme for all mine contermeasures vessels; when the decision to delay the upgrade of Royal Navy Mine Countermeasure Vessels was taken; and for what reasons; when those companies which had been invited to tender for the upgrade programme for mine counter-measure vessels were informed of the delay in the programme; how this was done; and by whom. - Inc text of letter from Sir Robert Walmsley, Chief Executive of the Defence Procuement Agency and fact that am unable to disclose the information requested on the cost of the programme under exemption 7 of the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information.
