Ms Osborne: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what the cost was of capital expenditure spent on HMS Gannet in the previous 12 months. [161019] Mr. Spellar: Capital expenditure at HMS Gannet in the last financial year 2000-01 was approximately £50,000. This was in respect of vehicles and minor plant acquisitions essential to the future role of HMS Gannet as a forward operating base.
