Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, if he will list those Grade I listed buildings whose facade has had to be compromised by reason of the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive; what procedures are followed by way of consultation between the HSE and conservation bodies to resolve such issues; and if he will make a statement.

[R] [159577] Mr. Alan Howarth: This information is not available. Any such issues would need to be considered on a case by case basis, taking account of the statutory requirement to obtain listed building consent for any works which would affect the character of the building concerned. English Heritage is a statutory consultee in this process.
