[159028] Mr. Lock: The objective is to achieve the targets set out in the PSA by 31 March 2002. Targets set on 31 March 2001 are: To ensure that by 31 March 2002, 90 per cent. of people in police stations requesting the service of duty solicitor receive the service within 45 minutes; and That 98 per cent. of prisons have, in accordance with Prison Service standard audit requirements, sufficient staff to ensure that all prisoners receive information about public funding on reception and know who can assist them with applications for public funding. The Group will continue to add other measures to the basket and to develop meaningful targets.
