Mrs. Curtis-Thomas: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment what average funding was allocated per school-age child in the Borough of Sefton in each year since 1996. [151333] Ms Estelle Morris: The information requested is in the tables. Since 1996-97 funding has increased by £410 per pupil in real terms. Grant figures have not yet been finalised for 2001-02, so no comparable figure is available for that year.
