- Answer
-
Mr. Peter Bradley: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is at issue between the British High Commission in Belize and Belize Telecom; and if he will make a statement. [146919] Mr. Battle: Belize Telecommunications Ltd. has advised the British High Commission in Belmopan that it considers the latter's actions in using and circulating information about call-back services to be illegal and has pointed out that in their view, they are not therefore obliged to maintain telephone services to the High Commission. On the basis of legal advice taken, we disagree.
