To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, pursuant to his letter of 14th December 2000 to the honourable Member for Linlithgow, if he will make a statement on his meeting with Ralph King about the Flixborough disaster.

Mr. Dalyell: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, pursuant to his letter of 14 December 2000 to the hon. Member for Linlithgow, if he will make a statement on his meeting with Ralph King about the Flixborough disaster. [144669] Mr. Meacher: I am due to meet Mr. King and the right hon. Member for Epsom and Ewell (Sir A. Hamilton) on 29 January to discuss Mr. King's views about the causes of the Flixborough disaster.
