To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many pet owners used the pet travel scheme in the last 12 months. - Including fact that figures are not kept on the number of owners using the scheme.
Answer

Mr. Cox: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how many pet owners used the pet travel scheme in the past 12 months. [82370] Mr. Morley: Figures are not kept on the number of owners using the scheme. Between 1 October 2001 and 30 September 2002, the most recent 12 months for which figures are available, 38,603 dogs and cats entered England under the pet travel scheme.
