Mr. Salmond: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what assessment has been made of the likely change in the price of construction materials following the introduction of the aggregates levy. [46478] Mr. Boateng: I have been asked to reply. The levy's impact on the price of construction materials will depend upon the amount of virgin aggregate used in their manufacture and the extent to which aggregates suppliers pass on the cost of the levy to customers.
