Question: What discussions DH has had with Food & Drug Administration in USA with specific reference to licensing generic medicines; if DH has any intention of categorising generic medicines, licensed by Medicines Control Agency, into Grade A & B products similar to classifications in orange guide to generics compiled by Food & Drug Administration & in view of corrupt & fraudulent practices related to submission of falsified date on some generic medicines to Food & Drug Administration if DH has plans for tightening procedures for licensing generic products. - (Holding answer 23 Oct 1989).
