Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, whether his Department has had any representations relating to the detention of Mr Mikhail Khodorkovsky; and whether this matter has been discussed with the (a) Russian Government and (b) the Russian Embassy.

[143932] Mr. Rammell: The Foreign and Commonwealth Office received one letter from a member of the House of Lords about the "Yukos affair", to which I have replied. Separately, I also discussed the issue with the Russian Ambassador last month, and the EU raised it with President Putin on 6 November during the recent EU- Russia summit.
