To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, if he will make a statement on planned future force numbers in Iraq. - (Holding answer 18 November 2003).

Mr. Soames: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on planned future force numbers in Iraq. [139374] Mr. Ingram :[holding answer 18 November 2003]: We intend to retain sufficient forces in Iraq to achieve our aims. Force levels are kept under review as the requirements of the mission evolve.
