Mr. Gibb: To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions pursuant to his answer of 5 November 2003, Official Report, column 673W, on the New Deal, how many New Deal personal advisers there were in each year since 1997. [138392] Mr. Browne: The administration of Jobcentre Plus is a matter for the Chief Executive of Jobcentre Plus, David Anderson. He will write to the hon. Member. Letter from David Anderson to Mr. Nick Gibb, dated 20 November 2003: As Jobcentre Plus is an Executive Agency, the Secretary of State has asked me to reply to your question concerning how many New Deal Personal Advisers there were in each year since 1997. This is something which falls within the responsibilities delegated to me as Chief Executive of the Agency. Regrettably, the information you have requested is not available. It is the policy within Jobcentre Plus and other parts of the Department for Work and Pensions to collect staffing information by grade/location and not job role.
