To ask the Minister of State, Department for International Development, if his Department will work with the United Nations to help draw up a nationwide, cross-sectoral needs assessment in Iraq.

Mr. Gardiner: To ask the Minister of State, Department for International Development if his Department will work with the United Nations to help draw up a nationwide, cross-sectoral needs assessment in Iraq. [117031] Hilary Benn: World Bank and International Monetary Fund economic and social needs assessments will begin in the coming weeks, in coordination with work already being undertaken by the UN and Coalition Provisional Authority. DFID's future engagement in Iraq will reflect the needs highlighted in these assessments.
