Question: To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what discussions she has had with (a) the United States and (b) the United Nations on the future of the Kurdish people within a post-conflict Iraq.

Answer: Mrs. Spelman: To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what discussions she has had with (a) the United States and (b) the United Nations on the future of the Kurdish people within a post-conflict Iraq. [105115] Clare Short: We have on-going discussions with the US and the UN about the plight of all groups in Iraq, including the Kurds. We are committed to maintaining the territorial integrity of Iraq. It will be important to ensure a stable and representative Government is established in a post-conflict Iraq which respects and protects the people of Iraq.
