Question: To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, to which governments her Department has made representations on contingency planning for the event of war in Iraq; what funding her Department will provide to the UN Office for the coordination of humanitarian affairs in the event of war in Iraq. - Inc figures.

Answer: Tony Baldry: To ask the Secretary of State for International Development to which governments (1) her Department has made representations on contingency planning for the event of war in Iraq; [104366] (2) what funding her Department will provide to the UN Office for the coordination of humanitarian affairs in the event of war in Iraq. [104365] Clare Short: We are in discussion with many partners on the planning of humanitarian assistance. It is essential that international plans are co-ordinated. This is the role of the UN Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). We have provided £150,000 to support their Iraq co-ordination centre in Cyprus and have seconded a member of staff.
