Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, what plans she has to review the legislation governing (a) horseracing and (b) greyhound racing.

Answer: Norman Baker: To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what plans she has to review the legislation governing (a) horseracing and (b) greyhound racing. [100381] Mr. Caborn: We plan to bring forward legislative proposals, when parliamentary time permits, which will enable the Tote to be sold to a racing trust, abolish the horserace betting levy and reform the regulation of betting on horse racing, greyhound racing and all other events.
