To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if he will make a statement on the nature of the outstanding issue relating to the term forgery of money and means of payment to be re-examined by Coreper pursuant to the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council of 12th March.
Answer

Mr. Maclean: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on the nature of the outstanding issue relating to the term forgery of money and means of payment to be re-examined by COREPER, pursuant to the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council of 12 March. [79491] Kate Hoey: The issue relates to a request from one member state for this form of crime to be legally defined before the Justice and Home Affairs Council agrees to extend Europol's mandate. The request is in line with Article 43(3) of the Europol Convention.
