Fiona Mactaggart: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what progress has been made on inserting compulsory disclosure of membership of the Freemasons in the contracts of new police recruits. [97185] Mr. Denham: A scheme of voluntary registration was introduced in 1999. We continue to review its effectiveness--there are no current proposals for compulsory disclosure.
