Mr. Liddell-Grainger: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what research has been carried out on the standard issue Army boot and its effect on feet. [94098] Mr. Ingram: As part of an on-going development programme an extensive range of research (in conjunction with industry and research organisations) has been, and is still being, carried out on the standard issue Combat Assault Boot and its effect on feet. This research is examining aspects such as materials, design, comfort and protection.
