To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what information he is making available about the process for repayment to families who are having to repay money to the Inland Revenue as a result of tax credit overpayments caused by administrative failures. - Inc ref to Inland Revenue's Code of Practice 26 'What happens if we have paid you too much tax credit?'

Brian Cotter: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what information he is making available about the process for repayment to families who are having to repay money to the Inland Revenue as a result of tax credit overpayments caused by administrative failures. [199777] Dawn Primarolo: The Inland Revenue's Code of Practice 26 `What happens if we have paid you too much tax credit?' sets out their approach to handling overpayments of tax credits. The Code of Practice is available on the Inland Revenue website or from the tax credits helpline.
