- To ask the Deputy Prime Minister, if he will (a) remove and (b) limit the liability of sheriffs for damages claims in the event of improper enforcement of compulsory purchase orders.

Mr. Dismore: To ask the Deputy Prime Minister if he will (a) remove and (b) limit the liability of sheriffs for damages claims in the event of improper enforcement of compulsory purchase orders. [199248] Keith Hill: My right hon. Friend the Deputy Prime Minister has no such proposals in hand. This is a matter which is normally dealt with through indemnity insurance.
