- To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what facilities exist in accident and emergency departments in Dorset hospitals to lift wheelchair-bound patients from care homes.

Tim Loughton: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what facilities are available in accident and emergency departments in Dorset hospitals to lift wheelchair-bound patients. [197997] Ms Rosie Winterton: Requested information is not centrally collected. However, Dorset and Somerset Strategic Health Authority advises that all accident and emergency departments in Dorset have access to a full range of manual handling equipment to assist the moving and lifting of individual patients who use a wheelchair.
