Mr. Todd: To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many (a) deaths and (b) notified injuries there have been in the construction industry in each year since 1996. Injuries are reported and defined under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) 1995. These include injuries to employees, self-employed people and members of the public.
