To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what proportion of working people living in the Tooting parliamentary constituency are in full-time employment. - Inc figure and text of letter from Len Cook of the Office for National Statistics.

Tom Cox: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what proportion of working people living in the Tooting parliamentary constituency are in full-time employment. [193794] Mr. Timms: The information requested falls within the responsibility of the National Statistician, who has been asked to reply. Letter from Len Cook to Mr. Tom Cox, dated 21 October 2004: As National Statistician, I have been asked to reply to your Parliamentary Question about employment in Tooting. (193794) It is estimated that for the twelve months ending February 2003, the proportion of working age people in full time employment resident in the Tooting Parliamentary Constituency was 61.2%. These estimates from the Labour Force Survey are, as with any sample survey, subject to sampling variability.
