- To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment his Department has made of the regeneration effects of (a) proceeding and (b) not proceeding with the proposed upgrade of the Blackpool tram system.

Mr. Gordon Marsden: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what assessment his Department has made of the regeneration effects of (a) proceeding and (b) not proceeding with the proposed upgrade of the Blackpool tram system. [173914] Mr. McNulty: The regeneration impacts of proceeding and not proceeding with the tramway upgrade were assessed in an Economic Impact Report provided by the promoters. The Department has not made its own assessment.
