Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether airlines operating in UK airspace are banned from (a) Swiss, (b) Belgian and (c) Dutch airspace. - Inc ref to 416 c545-6W, 12 January 2004. (Holding answer 22 January 2004).

Answer: Mr. Wilshire: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether airlines operating in UK airspace are banned from (a) Swiss, (b) Belgian and (c) Dutch airspace. [149971] Mr. McNulty: [holding answer 22 January 2004]: I refer to my answer of 12 January, given to the hon. Member for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross (John Thurso), Official Report, column 546W which describes the database we have on actions taken by other European states. I understand that some restrictions have been placed on the use of specific aircraft, but am not aware that any airlines have been prevented from operating in Swiss, Belgian or Dutch airspace.
