Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how many people have made reports to the Confidential Hazardous Incident Reporting Programme, in each year since it was introduced. - Including table 2000-3.

Answer: Mr. Paul Marsden: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how many people have made reports to the Confidential Hazardous Incident Reporting Programme, in each year since it was introduced. [148485] Mr. Jamieson: Since the CHIRP was introduced on 1 December 1982 there have been a total 4,488 reported incidents for the aviation and maritime programmes. The number of reports for the last four years for the aviation CHIRP is as follows: _________________________________________________________________________________________________. Number 2000 330 2001 379 2002 345 2003 373 _________________________________________________________________________________________________. The Maritime CHIRP was introduced in July 2003 and has so far received 38 reports.
