Mr. Cousins: To ask the Deputy Prime Minister what date has been set for the introduction of the tenancy deposit scheme. [215077] Keith Hill: The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister expects tenants' deposits to be protected as from July 2006, subject to passage of the relevant secondary legislation and following a procurement exercise conducted during the second half of this year.
