Proceeding contribution from Lord Geddes (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 28 June 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HL) on Charities Bill [HL].

Charities Bill [HL]

I must advise the Committee that there have voted Contents: 93, Not-Contents: 93. There being an equality of votes, in accordance with Standing Order No. 57, which provides that no proposal to amend a Bill in the form in which it is before the House shall be agreed to unless there is a majority in favour of such amendment, I declare the amendment disagreed to. Before calling Amendment No. 16, I must advise the Committee that there is a misprint on the Marshalled List. The amendment should not include the word ““from””. It should read:"““Page 7, line 6, leave out ““, in performing its functions,””."
