Proceeding contribution from Lord Drayson (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 7 November 2005. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Court Martial Judgment.
Court Martial Judgment
My Lords, that is not correct. The rules of engagement are clear. Our forces have the full support of this Government. The statement that the noble Lord made about bogus charges is not correct. The judge said that this case was rightly brought. Is the noble Lord suggesting that when charges of this seriousness are brought against a member of the Armed Forces they should not be investigated?
