Identity Cards Bill
Without wishing to sound discourteous, I have to say to the noble Lord that I do not believe a word of it. If you really were to go and ask people in this country whether they would be happy to pay £200 or £300 a shot for an identity card, they will look at you as if you were completely crackers.
