Proceeding contribution from Lord Stoddart of Swindon (Independent Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 15 November 2005. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Identity Cards Bill.
Identity Cards Bill

Is he quite sure that the mortgage companies and the banks will accept the production of an identity card for them to have a mortgage or open an account? Does he have such assurances?
