Proceeding contribution from Lord Brougham and Vaux (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Monday, 21 November 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on NHS Redress Bill [HL].
NHS Redress Bill [HL]
Before I put the Question that the Title be postponed, I remind your Lordships of two points of procedure. Noble Lords will speak standing and the House has agreed that there will be no Divisions in a Grand Committee. Therefore, unless an amendment is likely to be agreed to, it should be withdrawn. There will not be a Division in the Chamber today as it is a Second Reading debate. If there is a Division on a future occasion, the Committee will be adjourned for at least 10 minutes as soon as the Division Bells ring. Title postponed. Clause 1 [Power to establish redress scheme]:
