Proceeding contribution from David Leslie Taylor (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 24 November 2005. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Road Pricing.
Road Pricing
Is my hon. Friend encouraged by the fact that the Government appear to have taken a decision in principle to construct a second toll road north from Birmingham to Manchester on the basis of just a few months' data from the M6 toll, which runs close to my constituency? That is not a great start in terms of evidence-based policy, is it?
