Proceeding contribution from Jim Dowd (Labour) in the House of Commons on Friday, 2 December 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill on Criminal Law (Amendment) (Protection of Property) Bill.

Criminal Law (Amendment) (Protection of Property) Bill

The proposed new subsection reads:"““Where a person uses force””." Will my hon. Friend enlighten us about what would happen if someone set a dog upon a supposed intruder? The dog would be using the force, but the person would have some control over the dog—or would they be held not to have that control?
