Identity Cards Bill
My Lords, I apologise, but my noble friend Lady Anelay has provoked a thought in my head about this. There is already deep concern about the use of X-ray scanning in many respects, particularly in that this is ““see under the clothes”” technology. I beg the Government to think seriously about this amendment and what it could deliver technologically, with untold technology that is not quite there yet but which is coming. On that basis, I support the amendment.
